Stoked to announce that my story ‘Of Marrow And Abomination’ has gone live on Pseudopod. This was one of my dream markets, so it’s definitely brightening my day up.
You can read the story online or listen to it narrated in podcast form. It’s free. If you’re curious about my work but haven’t gotten to reading me, this is a good chance to check it out.
This was written and sold last year, so I’ve been waiting for a while for this.
Just finished listening to it on PseudoPod and am still trying to calm down from it. What an absolutely mind-shattering piece of horror. Poetic, cosmic, existential, body horror-climaxed nightmare-fuel that got under my skin in all the right ways. Just…wow. I don’t think it’s possible for me to love this story any more than i already do.

Just listened to the episode on my Govt permitted daily walk in the London sun, and damn did I get the chills. Fantastic stuff.

I listened to this lounging on my living room couch in the middle of a sunny afternoon. Just looking forward to taking my mind off the real world with a spooky little short story. I’ve read Abode, I should have known better.
Listening to this feels like being trapped in an episode of sleep paralysis. There is a sneaky sense of false comfort in the poetic cadence and flow, but the creeping dread hits hard from the first line and does not let up. That is no small feat in a short story. It reminds me of one of my favorite aspects of Stephen King’s work. Just enough realism intertwined with the growing horror to make you look over your shoulder on a clear sky day and think, what if…
After experiencing this waking nightmare of a tale I have just one wish. More.
